Pilgrimage Tour

Real Meaning of Pilgrimage Tour

Pilgrimage to the holy place provides an opportunity to avoid such things that often keep us distracted from Krishna consciousness and offers a golden opportunity to absorb completely in spiritual vibrations & harinaam sankirtan by the association of other senior spiritualists.

Pilgrimage tours are meant to purify the consciousness of the people who visit the holy places. The holy place is made holy because of the presence of the Lord and his pure devotees. In Gaudiya Vaishnavas, most of the holy places of pilgrimage are Vrindavan, Mayapur, and Jagannatha Puri.

Why We Should Visit Holy Places?

The holy places aren’t only meant for taking a bath in a holy river or visiting temples.

According to Srila Prabhupada, if anyone visits a holy place, he should find out that devotees who are residing there and take spiritual knowledge from them and try to execute such instruction in our practical life. Surely, this activity will help a person to advance in spiritual life.

As Krishna is always present with his devotees and by lord Krishna’s presence any place can become the place of pilgrimage.

Therefore, all the places where Srila Prabhupada has visited are also considered places of pilgrimage.
